Opioid Awareness and Education for SAMHSA

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) leads public health efforts to reduce the impact of substance abuse on America’s communities. We worked with SAMHSA and The Public Good Projects to create a national campaign to increase the public’s knowledge on the risks of opioids and decrease opioid misuse and overdoses.

We chose to travel across the United States to rural and urban epicenters of the opioid crisis to highlight the real experiences of real people. Our goal was to educate on the different types of opioids, the associated health risks of opioid misuse and abuse, and the resources available in local communities for those seeking support.
